The vehicle does not have heated seats. The passenger seat heats up to an unconfirmed level causing your lower back and butt to burn. Concerned this may cause a fire under passenger in seat.

My driver side seat heater would get really hot and eventually just quit working. I checked the obvious causes, (blown fuses & heating element connection) and found nothing wrong. I then decided to look online and noticed several individuals had experienced the same issue. The cause in many cases was the seat heating element (Ford part number 9L3Z14D696C) had burnt up causing damage the seat foam and in some cases burnt the seat cover. I removed my seat to see if this was the same issue I was having and discovered the same issue many others had experienced (see attached pictures.) I ordered the same part 9L3Z14D696C for $30 from my local dealership and it's working again but for how long' I'm surprised that Ford has not already addressed this issue. This definitely could have been a lot worse had the seat caught fire while I was driving, or while remote starting my truck (the seat heaters were set to come on when the truck was remote started.) this is definitely an issue that should be looked into before it becomes a bigger issue in the future.

Ever since the day I purchased my 2011 Ford F-150 it has had an extremely irritating as well as distracting vibration at highway speeds. Vibration is most noticeable in both driver and passenger seats as well as the floor. Have put 30K miles on it, tried new tires, numerous tire rotation/balances, even replaced rotors. No matter what I do the trucks shakes/vibrates at highway speeds. Please help!!

Rear sliding window defroster stopped working and driver's side heated seat also stopped working. Prior to heated seat stopping to work, it became so hot it actually made my leg so hot it hurt. If I was wearing shorts skin would of been burnt. At the time seat and defroster stopped working I smelled wires burning. Googled these problems I saw this is a very common occurrence. Took my truck to dealership, Ford will fix seat, but it will cost me $100 deductible. Rear window defroster is not covered by my extended warranty. At this time waiting to hear back from Ford. There are at least 20-30 complaints on this site about rear defroster, Ford needs to be held accountable for this defect.

My heated seat drivers side became very hot - causing small red spot on my leg. Pulled seat cover which had become distorted and discovered heated seat element had shorted out melting copper wiring and burning a hole in foam seat cushion. Ended up replacing element and leather seat cover on my own just parts cost nearly $600. Contacted Ford customer service three times with no response. Checked google search and there are many people having issues with these elements. I saved cover, and element and have pictures available.

Console lid associated with the split bench seat. Latch, which is plastic, has broken off twice. Although fixed by warranty, I can see where this will be a continuing problem until the plastic is replaced with metal.

The 40/20/40 bucket seat is unsafe due to non-adjustably for human size differences. This is an un-ergonomic seat and will cause long term joint and spine arthritis pain. These bucket seats are molded to fit a one size fits all. Very unhealthy. Also the drivers side hand grip is missing. This requires a further reach to the steering wheel to enter the cab. The extended reach causes joint and muscle pain. Again, another unsafe ergonomic problem.
