The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 35-40 mph, the hazard lights independently activated, the doors failed to unlock, and the windows failed to adjust as desired. The contact stated that the battery had failed. The contact disconnected the battery to stop the hazard lights from draining the battery. The contact stated that the other failures persisted. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the body control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 208,000.

Advance trac warning light came on screen as wife and 2 young children were driving under normal conditions at night. Immediately wife lost power steering and could not avoid a mailbox in front of house. Truck immediately shut down upon crashing into mailbox and would not restart.. however lights, cluster in dash and interior lights would not shut off, with key removed from ignition. Wife opened doors. She inserted key into ignition while turning switches and knobs attempting to shut down accessories. Nothing would shut off. Sync system was asking several uninvited questions, while cluster was turning off and on, blinking, flashing random warning lights and indicators. Blinkers would not work. Towed vehicle home. With key not in ignition, same things, lights would not turn off. Removed vehicle ground cable from battery post. Purchased and installed brand new motorcraft battery and still have same issues. Can not drive truck at this point as this is a safety nightmare waiting to happen to unsuspecting drivers and passengers. There was no previous warning or pre-emptive measures that could have prevented this from occurring. After researching this issue, we know Ford is aware of it. We know they will not recall the rack and pinion steering that causes this. Please let me be perfectly clear : we do not care nor want to be part of a class action lawsuit. We are Ford lovers and owners since a 1978 pinto. We only want our truck to be fixed at no charge to us. We do not have any interest in exasperating this issue with other owners to further bash the Ford brand. We only wish to take it to the dealership and get it fixed with Ford at the very least giving us a discount on the labor or parts. If not full reimbursement, half off would, make me a happy Ford owner again and in the future. Covid 19 has left us broke. Ford please help us !!!!!

I am sitting at a stoplight or street sign my foot is on the break all the way down and then all of a sudden it jumps forward. Then it started putting when I drove and kept getting worse and the check engine light flashes for a good minute. Everytime it said there was nothing wrong with it, and the dealership only found minor stuff that needed fixed but it was none of thoes that was causing this issue. So then I looked for recalls, and I had the recall on my truck done and then my truck started knocking. This is still happening and nobody can seem to figure out whats going on with the truck.

This vehicle has a serious problem with the electric power steering assistance service (epas). The steering module seems to not control the steering well, making it hard to turn or it begins to lock. The rack and pinnon seems to be the issue causing this and can lead to a serious accident since if going on speeds of 45mph+ the car steering becomes rigid and does not have a balance between a nudge to the left or a hard left. It makes that hard left without any warning.

When the 2 rear doors are locked, it is haphazard when they will unlock or open, either manually or from the inside. When I have children in car seats in the rear seats and I am unable to open either door it can be a matter of life or death in cases of emergencies. Not everyone is able to crawl from the front seat to the rear seats to get babies out of their car seats. The doors will not unlock with the front door panel controls or the remote key. It does not matter if stationary or in motion, the doors still will not unlock. The date of 5/01/2019 is an approximate date, as this has been an off & on again problem. Now that I have babies to Transport, it needs to be addressed.

2011 Ford F150 starter problems. I've replaced starter on this vehicle multiple times and still have issue's. I turn ignition and all that happens is a screeching noise. After a couple tries it starts. Second issue is speed control issues. I was driving on city streets and all of a sudden my speedometer stopped working. My truck would not shift and had to manually shift gears.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon start of his vehicle, the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop while depressing the brake pedal. The contact also stated that the brake pedal would harden as the failure occurred. Also, the check brake system warning message was intermittently displayed on the instrument panel. In addition, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, an abnormal noise would emit from the engine. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with a defective electronic vacuum pump. The contact spoke with tadd jenkins Ford (1090 Ford way, blackfoot, id 83221) and the manufacturer who both informed him that there were no recalls on the vehicle for the electronic vacuum pump. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 115,000.

Driver's side rear door will not open. This started with the door not unlocking sometimes with the key fob. When this happened, the door would have to unlocked manually. Now the door will not open at all - not with key fob nor with lock knob. Neither the interior or exterior door handle will open the door. Nothing will work and impossible to replace door latch mechanism with door closed.N based on internet searches, this is not a rare occurrence. Definitely a safety issue if in an accident especially if an emergency situation.

I purchased my 2011 F150 ecoboost in used condition in 2014. The primary use for my truck is around town errands and hauling light loads. For sometime now I have had issues, like many others have complained as well, during acceleration at 45+mph the engine loses it's power, shudders and stalls. Once there is a reduction in the amount of throttle, it takes a few minutes to regain "normal" driving conditions. For example, my family and I were coming home from Florida on the parkway, in July and with no abnormal weather conditions, and as I was ascending a grade about 75 miles per hour and a semi truck behind me, I gave the truck more throttle and it began to shudder violently, a subtle backfire, and lost power and could not regain throttle response. I quickly moved the truck into the emergency lane and had let the truck return to a normal idle, took a few minutes, before almost getting into a serious collision with the semi-truck. Over the past years I have just dealt with the issue and have taken it to mechanics and scanned the truck with no error codes or issues, until just recently. The mechanic scanned it and it showed misfires on #4 and #6. he replaced the coil and plug hoping that would be the cure, but with no luck it did not solve the issue. I'm reluctant to drop another $250 to replace the rest of the coils, but I don't know what else to do. I do not have disposable income and the truck is paid for, I and can't afford to get another vehicle. I enjoy my F150 and plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off. I have read post after post and video's that there are many people experiencing the same issues, but it seems no one is willing to step forward and make the complaint. I want this issue addressed and I hope Ford will resolve the issue before someone is seriously injured or a life is taken over this problem.
