Like many owners of a Ford diesel truck the fuel tank is rusting. I have cared for my truck as recommended by Ford Motor Company. Now my truck is no longer under warranty it is over 3 years old and is at 47000 miles. This has been a repeated problem among Ford owners and it seems as the Ford Motor Company is getting away with ripping off consumers. $600+ to repair but all they will do is clean out the tank. This is a defect in these trucks. This problem has existed for years yet Ford is not required to place the proper type of tank in these vehicles. Let me repeat... this is a known problem! from what I understand many other owners have sent complaints here. I really hope Ford is held responsible for this issue. People are spending thousands of dollars having to take care of this same problem and Ford just replaces the tank for the issue to arise again down the road. It causes vehicles to stall and slow down until the vehicle is restarted. This is not safe!
