The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated that after opening the front driver-€™s door, the locking mechanism malfunctioned, and the door would not remain closed. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on multiple occasions and on both the front driver-€™s and front passenger-€™s side doors. The failure would occur when the weather temperature was below 20 degrees and raining, causing ice to form inside the locking mechanism. After the vehicle warmed up, the locking mechanism operated as needed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the locking mechanism was replaced under the Manufacturer Campaign Number: 20M04; however, the failure recurred. The failure mileage was 50,000.
