We have experienced -€œdeath wobble-€ several times with the Ford. Every time we get all the necessary parts replaced and they-€™ll last about 6 months and the death wobble will return. It-€™s highly dangerous as you lose control of the vehicle and it can walk into another lane with traffic. You are unable to steer when this is happening. The only way to regain control is to slow the vehicle down to around 35/40 mph. It-€™s a danger to us and to others on the road.

As I drive on the freeway, if I hit even the smallest bump or rough patch in the road, the vehicle begins to shake violently and the only way to stop the shaking is to slow way down to an almost complete stop. It is difficult to see and steer to control vehicle. Often I am not able to pull over to the side of the road to stop and end up stopping in a lane in the middle of the freeway. This is very dangerous. We have had the vehicle serviced multiple times to try to repair the problem and nothing has helped.

The 2013 Ford F-350 Death Wobble. The front end suspension was affected. It occurred on an Interstate freeway at approximately 75 MPH. This is the first time for the vehicle. It has not been to a shop post incident. There were two occupants in the vehicle at the time of incident. There was a section of less smooth pavement at the time the shake started.

Driving down the road at approximately 60 mph we crossed over a bridge. Once we crossed the bridge the trucks steering wheel started to shake violently making the truck near impossible to handle and steer. We had to reduce speed quickly and pull to the side of the roadway to keep from wrecking the truck.

Traveling at speeds between 60-70mph on highways, at slights curves with rough pavement, my truck begins shaking violently to the point of losing control. Once I slow down and pull over it stops. It occurs without any warning. It has now happened a half dozen times. Nearly lost control and just avoided an accident on the last event. I had recall work done at Ford dealer today. Described the event. They told me about -€œdeath wobble-€ occurrences common with F250 and F350s. Looked it up. Description matches perfectly with my experience. Mechanics checked my steering linkage, axel, wheels for play, u linkages. Nothing out of the ordinary. I am deeply concerned for my safety.

As we were driving on the highway, the -€œdeath wobble-€ as it-€™s been coined happened to us. We were going 70 mph on the highway and hit a bump and then the whole front end of the truck was shaking violently. Fortunately my husband is aware of this and knows of this happening to other vehicles that he slowed down immediately to prevent anything else from happening. Not only did the intense shaking happen, but it also popped the hood. Thank goodness it stayed latched otherwise that could have also been a serious issue. Thankful we were not on a crowded freeway or highway and were able to slow down fast. This also happened to him a few weeks earlier on a highway. This is a huge safety issue. I-€™m not sure if I would have been able to control the vehicle like he did if I had been driving. Unfortunately unless you have a dealer or service tech riding with you at all times, this can not be predictably reproduced. Of course there were no warning signs as it just happened after hitting a bump.

The truck vibrates uncontrollably when driving on the freeway at speeds between 65-75mph. This typically occurs when the truck hits a bump when driving in this speed range. Doing a google search and reviewing videos of this issue reveals a pheonomea referred to as 'death wobble'. This has happened to me at least 8 times over the past 8-10 months. I had the shocks changed recently hoping that this would fix the problem. This did NOT fix the problem. On one occassion while driving in Pennsylvania towing my boat, I was nearly in an accident. When the vibration/attenuation occurred I was driving approx 70mph and had to slow to 40mph nearly causing an accident. This is a very scary issue that apparently through research Ford is well aware of. I have my truck at the dealership as I write this complaint and they are saying they cannot identify the problem....So, the genesis of the Ford class action law suit was a similar issue. The dealership turned a customer away with a known safety issue. Wonder if this is going to happen to me? If I am turned away with a known safety issue and end up in an accident, you will certainly hear from me again! This is crazy. Merry Christmas!

Violent shaking of the steering wheel and front end of the truck at 65 MPH while on the highway. The shaking initiated in a right hand curve in the highway. Would not stop shaking until I reduced speed to around 40 MPH and pulled to the shoulder. I had difficulty controlling the truck in traffic until I slowed way below traffic speed. This was a frightening experience to say the least.

While driving on highway 70 in Denver on 7/3/21, which has constant construction, inhit an unavoidable rough patch causing my truck to go into an uncontrollable wobble violently shaking the vehicle until slowing down to an unsafe highway speed. This has since happened 3 more times as well as general looseness in steering and exaggerated movement over rough roads in the city. I have invested over 1700 dollars to correct the issue but it still persists.

While driving in excess of 55 mph on all road surfaces the front end will randomly go into a violent front end wobble. The vehicle shakes violently as to throw heavy items from the door pockets and prevent steering the vehicle. We have replaced a suspected steering components with no remedy. We understand that a similar issue with this vehicle occurred in a later model truck and has been recalled. Our mechanic has nicknamed this wobble a death wobble.

Truck violently shook after going over bump in the road going about 40mph on city street to where I almost lost control of my truck. Had no control of the shake and when applied brakes the truck kept shaking until I could come to a complete stop. Contacted repair shop and they informed me that the condition is referred to as the 'death wobble'. Ford knows of the issue but has not done anything to remedy this issue. Parts affected and were replaced are track bar assembly and passenger side ball joint

Within the last few months the truck has experience the "death wobble". at first it started at normal Michigan highway speeds, but it has become more frequent and more repeatable, and occurring a lower speeds. Essentially if you hit a typical highway bump the vehicle will begin to shake completely out of control force you to rapidly decelerate or brake quickly on a highway until it stops. This truck has a stock suspension and about 150K miles. We have taken it to a suspension shop they cannot identify any failed components.

A Ford truck "death wobble" alleges F-250 and F-350 trucks have problems with the steering linkage and suspension systems. The proposed class action lawsuit includes current and former owners and lessees of 2005-2019 Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks. However, the plaintiff says the Ford dealership denied the wobble problem and refused to repair the truck under warranty. The Ford truck death wobble lawsuit was filed in the U.S. district court for the southern district of California - william lessin, et al., V. Ford Motor Company.

I was driving approximately 56 miles per hour on a highway when I experienced a horrible wobble of the front end of the truck. I immediately stopped and took it to the nearest dealer who told me that they did not know what could have caused this. They replaced almost all components in the front end of the truck including the track bar, stabilizer, bearings, and all associated bushings. Several days later I was driving on a different road around 60 miles per hour and experienced the same issue.

My Ford F350 Super Duty 4WD has had the front end rebuilt 3 times for what is commonly called the "death wobble". driving at highway speeds of 60 to 75 mph on straight dry pavement the front end wheels will start an oscillating and up and down movement that is so violent that it is difficult to hold on to the steering wheel. The shaking of the vehicle is so pronounced that items fly out of door pockets, the console and cup holders. Vehicles behind me and next to me are forced to apply their brakes in an emergency response to a possible collision. This is a common problem over multiple year models and Ford is doing nothing to solve it. You can search the internet for "Ford death wobble" and view many videos taken of the problem.
