This problem that I am having with my exhaust system (dpf) could be fixed if the Ford dealership technician would do their job correctly as recommended and not half ass to suite their financial gain. This has occurred now several times with me, only to be costing me more and more out of pocket money simply because they are not doing their job properly and correctly. Each time I bring it back to the dealership I'm having to hear different reasons for the problem but from the same dtc code. So, how could this be possible if the code reading read the same each time I bring it in and the problem are the same? But I'm told other reasons, just to void my warranty coverage.

Ford has a known sensor issue that affects both the forced and manual regeneration cycle. I have had the sensor replaced twice in two years. Both times the engine light came on which prevents an exhaust cleaning cycle to perform. Not until this check engine light code is reset can a Regen be performed. Of note, I have had to have 4 forced Regens by a dealer at a cost ave of $188 each time; this was just in a 1 year period. DPF was clogged at 60+% but cleared doing a forced Regen. I don't know why there is not an option for owners to perform a Forced Regen on 2015 Models?

I will take my truck in tomorrow for the same issue and I have insisted on having an advocate from this Ford dealership to contact Ford Company to provide free service - its ridiculous to have this known problem continue as long as it has! I want them to pay for new and working sensors, DP Filter ($1500) if needed, and provide me with a means to do a forced Regen on demand. There is a product called The Edge Insight Monitor that will, among other things, allow a Manual Regen but only if the check engine light is not lit... which is not an option for me because the light is on all the time. I would love to hear feedback on this because I feel freaking cheated - enough already, right?!!!!
