With less than 30k miles, the purge valve started failing and whenever I tried fueling up the car, it the won't start. It was really annoying and kind of embarrassing. However I drove the car like that for over two years until the problem got so bad that the car would have a rough idling, a rich mixture and it would even turn off.

The failure can be diagnosed with a fancy scantool but if you have the symptoms, and hear a faster than usual clicking on the valve, that might be the problem. I will try to upload a video with the failure.

The piece is not cheap compared to other brands and it comes with hoses integrated. I suggest buying the OEM part, and if you are mechanically inclined you might be able to change it, but if you are not too sure of what you are doing have a Pro change it as the hoses are prone to braking.
