  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

I am 63 years old this is the scariest car I have ever been in. Cant go over 30 miles with out chaos happening. I have refused for the past two years to drive this thing to pick up my grand kids anymore, just paid for an oil change thought this would help out.could not even drive it home. turned around took it back to the oil changing station. they test drove it for me and said put you hazard lights on take it home and park it until you can get your transmission fixed. wow fixed income. NO WAY. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO FORD. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO FORD. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO FORD. It is not fair you people have to know there are issues with your cars an d your really don't care about us just our money. I'll never believe anything else. DONE WITH F O R D S F O R E V E R and any others under your roof no matter what name they may go by

  • CVT transmission
  • 141,000 miles

I own a 2005 Ford Five Hundred CVT. 3 months ago the transmission began acting up. Driving along and the "Wrench" lite comes on then the "Skid" lite comes on. The car goes into a loss of power, like low gear. It moved but revs up and won't shifts up. I know its a constant velocity trans so it is at it's lower ratio. After hours of diagnostic it comes down to the Trans Control Module, and still not sure. The OBD codes say loss of communication, a U code. Every inch of harness has been checked the whole interior has been removed, dash disassembled. I'm into it over $2,000. I love the car, it rides great. Its has been well maintained.

FORD I need help. Need to recall this issue or how about a P01 or Z01 policy adjustment.

This is ridiculous, bought the car 2 months ago , dealer stated transmission was rebuilt and I shouldn't have any worries. of course I bought as is dummy me. went to get in car and go shopping Saturday is was a very cold night car would not shift into gear, wrench light came on. about three hours later when it was warm out worked fine wrench light off. same scenario Sunday. Monday morning husband went to go to work started to back out of driveway midway in driveway no gears except first. I can not afford a vehicle that is going to be this unreliable. he drives 1 .45 hrs to and from work everyday . and I need to have my car here for my job. Ford needs to address this I did a lot of research and seems to be a big issue with these transmissions. I am so tired of car issues we bought this so he could commute without being eaten alive in gas he was driving his F350 hd. my vehicle is a Kia seranto and I use it for work so need to have it if I get called in I work for USPS. So, this is costing more than it should. because today I can not go to work as I have no vehicle and that's 200 out of my pocket . He was an hour late to work so thats 150 out of his pocket. and god knows what its going to cost to fix the issue. I am going to ask dealer if there is something more reliable on lot because even if issue is fixed I can not trust it.

Also only have high fan for heater not sure if that is related but it is annoying.
