problem #3

Five Hundred

  • Automatic transmission
  • 72,000 miles

informed Ford Motor Company that the instrument cluster on my 2006 Ford Five Hundred is defective and they won't do anything about it. This is a big concern as I don't know how fast I am going at all. All warning lights are on.

problem #2

Five Hundred

  • CVT transmission
  • 90,000 miles

This instrument cluster failure seems to be a very common problem! When is Ford going to acknowledge their failure and issue a recall? I've always been a Ford owner and am not feeling the quality #1

Five Hundred Limited 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

OUR MECHANIC AND AUTOZONE TECH ARE FRUSTRATED BECAUSE ALL CODES LIGHT WITHOUT CAUSE. CHECKED CHARGE CIRCUIT, BATTERY, CLEANED CONNECTIONS, CLEANED UNDER HOOD GROUNDS.

WHEN ERROR CODES LIGHT, THE SPEEDOMETER GOES ZERO. THIS MAY CONTINUE FOR ONE MILE BUT CAN CONTINUE FOR 100-200 MILES.

WE KNOW ITS NOT SAFE WITHOUT SPEED, BUT FEAR, FEAR, FEAR----FIRE.

IT ALSO SAYS THE ABS AND AIR-BAGS ARE NOT WORKING, PLUS THE CAR SURGES AT STOP LIGHTS AND REVS.
