Flex Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission

The problem was a three faze problem. Meaning, all of the seals in the engine had or have to be replaced. I do not exactly have the money to fix the entire problem. I have had it in three different Ford dealerships. We moved across the country, and before the move they told us it was good to go. But, half way across the problem grew worse. We had to get it fixed again. We are now facing a complete engine removal to fix the bottom seals. They even had to take out the transmission to /oil down inside. We do not race the vehicle, and with only 57k on it when it first started, this seems ridiculous. We now have 68k and will be cutting our losses. I do not enjoy smelling burning oil while driving down the road, and having to keep a quart on standby in case we leak to much. It seems to get worse above 3k rpm, so we have limited our traveling. Ford seems more concerned with taking our money then with doing a full repair the first time. Since every time they work on it, they want to take the entire engine and transmission out, which means more manual labor time for their guys.
