problem #1

Flex Limited EcoBoost AWD 3.5L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,500 miles

My first stop at a service department where I just described it as a drive-ability problem. Stupid service manager at Miracle Ford of Gallatin, TN said "what do you expect, it is a turbo". Drove it to Texas and the dealer there said they thought it was the transmission, and not any thing else. Four days later and a rebuilt tranny with a control system reboot and the car seemed to be better.

NOT! Fuel economy dropped from 18.8 combined to 16.1 combined and the car can not be driven at a normal consistent speed. Surges, bucks, snorts, stumbles, shakes like it has a cylinder missing. Power is also down from a fire breathing dragon wagon to a swift but reluctant kid hauler.

If the problem is the transmission, and the dealer claimed that it was, then they still have not fixed it yet.
