Focus SE

  • Manual transmission
  • 116,000 miles

So I was shopping yesterday with my 6 and 7 year olds. Got back in the car to leave the store and the stcik shift went lax and the car was stuck in first gear, which really sucked because i had a car in front of me in the parking lot. So I had to wait an hour for the person who owned the car to move so I could pull forward and try to get my car to the repair shop 10 miles away. It really sucked driving 19 miles an hour all the way there with two young kids in the back seat. We bought the car brand new and never had any problems with it until it hit 100,000 miles. Since then its been one repair after another. I do not think I will ever buy a Ford again.

Focus ZX5 1.6L

  • Manual transmission
  • 80,000 miles

I'm driving home the other night with my kids in the car and my car gets stuck in 2nd gear. I thought that the transmission went. Kind of pleased it was "only" the shifter cable, but my car has been in the shop since Wednesday as the local repair shop had to order the part. Being completed today.

Focus SE

  • 50,900 miles

I bought a new car to avoid all the expensive repairs little did I know that the new car would have more problems. At 50,000 mile my shifting cable broke leaving me stranded on the side of the road in 20 degree weather. I had to have the car towed and now the dearlership is saying that it was "wear and tear" yet no one at the dearlership had ever seen this happen!! And get this Ford said that they wouldn't pay for the repair even though I think it is a defective part. Thanks alot Ford way to make people want to come back and buy from you agian!!!!
