Focus LS 4 Cly

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

I was told 2 yr ago they would fix it, 'we're busy right now, but call tomorrow [Ford dealership said this not me] will fit you in today.' I went back to Ford, they said will check into it. They're under investigation now for this problem. I went back and ordered the part they said I need. Never got the part or door fixed. To this day the brakes are rough but work and are squeaking too. They were recalled I found this out today when they said 'yea there a problem' to me and my son. I ask when can it be fixed, 'call us tomorrow, will let you know' Here goes another 2 yrs.

Focus SES 2.0L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,000 miles

I've opened the door panel and can't see what's missing to fix this problem. There is NO pull when you pull the outside handle and can only open from the inside. Since there is only ONE Exterior Lock, Except the trunk, I have accidentally locked myself out of my car while it was running, & no spare with me. At that point get someone to bring the spare and climb in through the trunk to unlock the back door. What plastic part is broken, I'm not paying $125. to $165. to replace a $20 part!!

Also in the real cold my door won't latch, sticks shut & can't close the door, but push it back open and it works. To others with a door problem, get some grease & grease it, also the trunk latch seems to get stuck at times too. Some grease should do the trick....

Focus

  • Automatic transmission

the damn rear passenger door would not open after I turned the child lock on. It sucks....and after awhile the driver side door also stopped opening so I had to go in through the pass side door. I hated the car. so happy I got rid of it. the door handles were faulty. never get a focus again. they suck!

Focus

  • Manual transmission

I find it completely ridiculous that the ford dealership wants to charge me 400 dollars to get it fixed. It's a door handle for god sakes.
