This is not the first complaint I filed with your company on this vehicle. So you can check your records for that rant. Here is a letter I sent to Ford Corporate.

Dear Angela,

I had an issue with my 2012 Ford Focus which required a complete replacement of my transmission. Since then, I have had smaller, yet still significant, issues with the vehicle. My horn and front passenger-side window do not work all the time. The horn problem poses a huge safety risk. I brought it to Jersey City Ford a few months ago to be fixed. However, I still continued to have the same problem.

It is now back at Jersey City Ford. I dropped it off last Thursday evening. I did not receive any call. It is now Saturday so I decided to call this morning at 9:30am to check on the status of my vehicle. They told me my service advisor, Maurice, was not available and he would call me back in an hour. I did not receive any call. So I called back at 2:30pm. They transferred me to service, parts, and then back to the receptionist, who then transferred me to a voice mailbox. I tried calling back right after that. This time I went straight to a voice mailbox.

I have never experienced such horrible service from any other car company. I have had to deal with 2 different dealerships and corporate. And for some reason cannot get anything done in a timely matter with any Ford employe

Update from Apr 1, 2017: I have been trying to get a response from Jersey City Ford all day today with no luck. I have left several messages on several voice mailboxes, the director included. No one seems to care! I believe the office is closed. All I am asking for is a status update on a vehicle I left at their dealership 2 days ago.

  • Automatic transmission
  • 97,500 miles

The horn on My 2012 Ford Focus 97,500 miles has stopped working. All testing from dealer results in telling me the horn is broken and needs replacing, cost will be $200. I have had cars with many more miles with no issue with horn. There is no warning light to alert the owner that the horn is not operating, this is a safety issue to me. I feel the dealer/Ford should cover the cost of this.

Horn not working. Noticed it when I would lock the car. Always thought it was the key fob. Nope - needed the horn to alert another driver coming into my lane, no horn. Bought a replacement $16. had a former Ford mechanic friend install it.

Focus V6

MY CAR CANNOT COMPLETE A VEHICLE INSPECTION DUE TO HORN AND ALARM NOT SOUNDING WHEN PRESSED. THE DEALERSHIP NOR AN ELECTRICAL WORKER CAN TELL WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. IT'S GOING ON TWO YEARS WITHOUT MY HORN AND I HAVE HAD FOUR DIFFERENT ACCIDENTS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THERE WAS A WAY TO IDENTIFY AND FIX THE HORN PROBLEM.

I've talked to several Focus owners of the same year car. Key font and horn does not work on any of them. Why no recall issued?

It's not a fuse and it's not the Key

Please Advise

I FEEL LIKE THIS CAR IS SLOWLY FALLING APART ONE PIECE AT A TIME AND WILL IN THE END BE VERY COSTLY TO PEOPLE . IT SEEMS TO ME LIKE THE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS BREAKING DOWN. ONE PROBLEM HERE AND THERE UNTIL YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE THING. FORD SHOULD RECALL ALL THESE CARS WITH ISSUES SUCH AS THESE WITHIN A 5 YEAR PERIOD BECAUSE A BRAND NEW CAR SHOULD DRIVE ISSUE FREE FOR AT LEAST THE FIRST 5 YEARS, IF YOU HAVE QUALITY PARTS, STAFF AND SERVICES TEAMS BUILDING THEM. GUARANTEE YOUR PRODUCT FIRST FORD COMPANY !!!!!

Focus SE 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 79,000 miles

The horn quits working for no apparent reason. Sometimes if using the 12 volt charge the radio and horn stop working at the same time. I can shut the ignition off and the radio will reset, but the horn is still disabled. I checked the fuse, replaced relay, and horn still is still disabled. Then for no reason the horn will work but not sure of how much time passes, days to a week. Very aggravating.
