Totally pissed off with this repair its due to poor design by Ford. 2 metal pipes meet up with an o ring in between and a plastic clip holding them together - 1 from the heater core which has an elbow and other from firewall - its a prick of a spot to get into as I wanted to sleeve the joint but damn near impossible. So Ford redesigned the system to go from the heater core to firewall with 1 pipe instead of 2 joined together to do this the whole dash and centre console has to come out to get the heater core and its holder out coolant emptied out and replaced all at a mind blowing cost of $1600 to $1800 Aud. Which is absolute Horses*** in my eyes!!! Then I read this page and it says the next thing should be power steering failure at about 120k kms - another $1800 to look forward to GREAT!!!! DON'T BUY THIS MAKE AND MODEL CAR - YOU,VE BEEN WARNED !!!!
