Focus SEL 2.0L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission

My airbag light came on steady. Took it in to my local Ford dealer to have it looked at. $90 later, they tell me it will cost over $700 to replace the seatbelt retractor assembly on the front passenger seat because it shorted. If I don't get it fixed, I was told NONE of my airbags would deploy in an accident. Invoice said 10FOZ Electrical. DTC B00C2-11-OCSM.

Focus ES 2.0L

Had the car at Covert Ford in Austin, TX to get the air conditioning compressor replaced under warranty because it had locked up. Upon driving home I noticed the air bag light was on and it wasn't on when I brought the car in. Didn't bring the car back to the dealership right away nor did I report it right away which was a mistake on my part. Now the dealership refuses to fix it and it is out of warranty so I'm stuck with a non functioning air bag system.
