2012 Ford Focus was in the driveway on a cold day with the defroster running. A couple of minutes after I got in I heard a pop and noticed a crack in the windshield. It runs along most of the bottom from side to side, about an inch and a half from the top of the dashboard. I feel like the glass must be faulty, never had this before and I've had many cars over many years. I'll let you know if Ford covers this, but I doubt they will.

Car was stared on a cold morning. Windshield defrost was on. No ice on windshield, just very cold as the temp was -22c outside. After approximately five minutes, my wife heard a snap, and the windshield cracked just above the defrost vents in the dash - straight across.
