problem #2

Nov 302014

Focus SE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Aside from this vehicle being a major inconvenience with the transmission issues since I bought it new off the lot, the driver's side window had always been iffy. It would work some days, others it would not. At first I was noticing it more in the winter, and the problem was very sporadic.Sometimes it would work if I turned my car off and let it sit for a minute, sometimes not. Sometimes it would randomly start to work again on longer trips, where I wouldn't be able to get it to go down for an hour, then I'd try it and it would then work. It has never gotten stuck down. The motor had always been louder than I expected. The weird thing is, it never went more than a day not working. Well, until now. It has been two weeks. If I hold the button down it will make a little delayed click, but that's it. It will not move. And of course, the problem never occurred nor could they see signs of a problem when I was wasting DAYS of my life dealing with the sh*tty transmission (3rd is the charm!) at the dealerships and being car-less (This blows my mind because they will throw a loaner car at you when you're looking to buy but once they sell you their POS they leave you stranded...) So yeah I'm really annoyed that it finally kicked the bucket and now I get to waste more of my time and money if I ever want to use my window again.

Just one more thing in a long line of problems with this vehicle. Would I own another Ford? Not.
