Just started this issue where the you try to start it and the key turns radio will come on but won't start and no noise like it trying to start.

problem #1

May 272009

Freestyle SEL

  • CVT transmission
  • 37,478 miles

The car would go in and out of safe mode randomly for several months. The Ford dealer could not find any problems. The battery light would be on and the car would have a full charge battery. The problem would continue with dimming lights and limited use of wipers. Went to different dealer and the battery tested bad. The car was kept and was observed and a "ripple test" performed. The alternator was replaced due to overcharging of the system.
