Freestyle Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

I have a 2006 Ford Freestyle and only have 70,000 miles on the vehicle. It is not paid for yet and already the compressor is bad. They are saying it will cost $1,000 plus to fix it. I looked on line and there have been many complaints with this issue and it should be on recall. Please everyone with this issue call Ford and let them know. It only took about 5 -10 min and if enough people call, even if you have to pay, and they later choose to DO THE RIGHT THING and do a recall. With enough complaints they will reimburse you.

Freestyle SEL V6

Not only am I having the acceleration problem with my Ford Freesyle wagon, the AC compressor went out. The car is only 4 years years old. Luckily my sons father is a mechanic. When he went to ford to buy the new one the guy in the parts dept told him that he was suprised it didnt go out sooner, because the AC compressors for the Ford Freesyle usually dont make it past 40,000 miles. Who knows it may have gone out before I bought because it had a little over 40,000 on it. I guess i should have got the CAR FAX boefore i signed on the dotted line.
