This vehicle was totaled in May 2020. I had numerous and constant brake issues with this car and had much of the brake system (brake pads, rotors, and calipers I believe) replaced within a year of the accident. The accident occurred when I tried to apply the brakes, causing me to hydroplane into an oncoming car. My concern is that this could be related to the ABS recall (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 19V904000). Although my vehicle does not appear to be affected by the recall, it seems very similar to the brake issues I experienced.

The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at 60 MPH on a bumpy road, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle accelerated unintendedly, hit a high curb, and stopped. The air bags did not deploy. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that she would need to pay a diagnostic test fee. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred while driving. The contact stated while driving in the rain and in the process of changing lanes, the vehicle in front of her stopped at the traffic light. The contact then depressed the brake pedal. However, the vehicle hydroplaned, accelerated, and crashed into the rear of the vehicle in front of her. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained severe headaches, neck pain, and knee pain and sought medical assistance. The contact-€™s friend who was pregnant and occupying the front passenger-€™s seat sustained back pain. The driver of the other vehicle sustained injuries and sought medical assistance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot where it was totaled. The dealer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The failure mileage was unknown.

Kayser Ford in madison, wi was supposed to have replaced driver side air bag. I have concerns about their properly replacing, per the safety recall, as tim douglas boasted that "they have over 47 airbags" in back and this is not how the recall should work. The part needs to be ordered per the VIN and received and put in, not some random spare extra parts in back, put in the vehicle, without knowing how long they have been sitting there. Further, this Ford replaced the passenger airbag, and pulled on the bottom edge of the airbag compartment, causing a badly tented edge, that could obstruct the passenger air bag deployment or tear the bag if it is deployed, and affect the angle and trajectory of the deployment. This Ford denied any responsibility. When we had it towed for other repairs including the driver side airbag, they not only did not perform the necessary repairs, but they caused harm to our car: Damage to the front bumper, failed to refill fluids correctly, including transmission fluid and power steering fluid and did not replace the front brake calipers. The new serpentine belt is loose and makes a noise. They also drove our car over 30 miles, without our authorization and then lied on the invoice claiming that our car came in and left at the same mileage. Further, they left our car on a tow truck with the J hook hanging from the suspension and under tension, all night.

I received safety recall notice 19S54 / NHTSA recall 10V-904 in January 2020 telling me there is a safety issue with the braking system on my car. It said I would be notified when parts would be available. I got another notice in October of 2020 telling me the same thing, but have still not heard back. It has been over a year and no word from Ford. If this is a safety issue they are not taking it very seriously. It cannot take over a year to get parts. I am giving this car to my grand daughter but do not want to do so if there is a problem with the brakes.

Air bag on dash board is on. My gears won't switch how they used to. It takes a very long time for me to get the gear on drive mode. Stepping on the gas break to move gear, it also doesn't help.

This car was purchased in 2011with 68,000 miles at time of purchase. It was purchased at tom mosanos in berks county, pa. It was paid off at the end of 2017, then now all the recalls 4 or 5 different recalls and serious recalls. I have absolutley no brakes all was to the floor with no pressure at all. To many because and I do believe that since it was paid off at the end of 2017. That I should be offered for them to me to pick out and them to replace me another car for up to $10,00, and that tom masano gets a rebate in the amount of 10.000 or more, I need a safe car to drive with less safety recalls as this car has major safety recalls on it.

I reported an issue relating to the ABS in my 2007 Ford Fusion on 11/24/18, but just realized I had used my tile number instead of VIN. Perhaps that's why I have never received a response? I have attached a copy of my previous complaint. I am wondering if my vehicle is or will be a part of the recall for ABS valve because I have been waiting for years for this issue to be resolved so that I can get the vehicle repaired and get rid of it.

My 2007 Ford Fusion was purchased in 2011 and was financed, and I paid it off in December 2017. It since then only it has a 144,00 miles. It was purchased with lower mileage, of an estimation of 40,000 to 50,000 miles on it at final sale meaning it was a 2007 car, purchased in 2011, so that's a problem when before it had been paid off, and major problems of many. I would like a refund of a lesser equal to or equal value to my purchased car price from manufacture or dealership. The two recalls issued that I have not taken care of yet, and other problems with cheap made inside door handles broke easily, being hard plastic/metal, this makes getting out of my vehicle a major safety issues along with the other issues of airbags and brakes and other safety issues.

I was involved in an accident on 11-30-19 due to my brakes not allowing me to stop in time and hitting a car in front of me. The car was stopped in the road, waiting to turn, and I tried to stop but I couldn't in time. It caused enough cosmetic (only) damage to my car that my insurance company is filing it as a total loss due to the cost of repairs compared to the value of my car. I will probably be forced to keep it though since I can't afford a new car, since I'm on a fixed income. My daughter is helping me to understand what we have to go through to keep it, to get a salvage title and then apply for a rebuilt title. I just wanted to report this in case my car will be included in the Ford brake recall.
