Check engine light came on. Codes indicated a transmission clutch issue. Online researching revealed this to be a frequent issue with mt vehicle type. Problem consistantly occurs when transmission kicks into passing gear or on prolonged trips (30 minutes to and 1 hour of driving time) using cruise control. This began occurring around November 15th and still occurs if I drive more than 30 minutes. Check engine light resets after the car sits unused for a day or two.

While driving and sometimes when the vehicle is changing gears it shifts extremely hard. Has done this since that car was bought. Brought to the attention of the Ford dealership where it was purchased but they say nothing is wrong even once transmission repairs had to be done because of the issue they still claim no fault.

Transmission started slipping really bad even down shifting so hard felt like U hit something luckily I had an extended warranty so it should be covered. It's been 11 days I still haven't gotten my car back. Looked online seems like a lot of people have this same problem. I think Ford should be investigated for another potential faulty transmission

The car stalled while driving at highway speeds without enough warning or time that would normally be required to bring it to a safe stop. Luckily I managed to avoid a catastrophe on this occasion. Subsequently, while I was waiting for a tow, I managed to get the engine started. But the stall reoccured a few minutes later (this time I was wiser and had moved over to surface streets). This on-off pattern would repeat itself several times. I never drove it on the highway again, after the first occurrence. For the sake of safety, I had it towed to the dealership for diagnosis.

When driving the vehicle will give a notification in the dash about low coolant- service required. The vehicle will then 'shut off' in the middle of no (highway, city road, or even parking lot) where and will say it's over heated. Turn the vehicle off and then back on and it runs just fine for over 20 minutes and does it again. Had taken to the local Ford dealership and they 'fixed' the problem that lasted a week- they changed the thermostat, hoses, sensors.

I have had repeated problems with this vehicle, and now it is on my credit record because it is beyond repair, and I returned it to the finance company where I purchased it from. I had to replace the lug nuts because the factory lug wrench wouldn't work, the engine ran hot (regularly) leading to long term engine damage, the transmission had been replaced twice since I began financing the car. The car only had 64K miles when I began financing it, by 77K, the transmission had to be replaced twice (first time in Dec.18, and then Jan.19), and it still shifted hard (at times) and still made a strange sound. I am involved in a class action suit over the transmission, but the repairs were aftermarket (and media indicates that even the manufacturer is not capable of fixing the problem) in approximately the month of may, 2019, the vehicle also would not start (key would not turn/no lights came on, etc.). I contacted the carmaker, and they had stated that they'd "never heard of this kind of issue before", but they did offer to purchase the vehicle back from me (at market value), but they became disinterested when I told them that I was financing the vehicle from elsewhere.

Initial ignition of the car results in engine stall out post abnormal ignition time. Fusion will display "power run active" then "press brake to start". this will repeat after another ignition attempt and re-show the same messages on the dashboard. After a third ignition attempt the engine does not stall out. The problem is not a sudden onset but initial symptoms of the issue is that the car will stall out after 10 seconds of driving. Initial re-ignition post stall results in normal function of the car without extra issue. However, this event becomes increasingly common over time until it simply stalls out immediately post ignition. Despite multiple trips to a Ford certified professional mechanic, no codes are given by the computer which renders diagnosis of the faulty part or cause of the issue near impossible. Problem may present itself as faulty alternator, battery, or starter. However, even after replacement of any possibly faulty aforementioned parts the problem still persists.

I contacted my local Ford dealer regarding the recall listed for my car: "May 13,2019 manufacturer recall number19S16 NHTSA recall number19V362" I was told that my car had no recall and that I'd have to come in to look into purchasing a entire new shifter linkage cable. This bushing came off once I started the car this morning, tried to put it in drive and the car didn't make it past reverse. After I tried to put the car back into park the car stayed in reverse even thought the shifter was in park. After turning off the car it was unable to be turned back on because the transmission wasn't in park even thought the shifter read it was.
