Fusion Sport 2.7L V6 Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 33,705 miles

When I started my Ford Fusion Sport there was a yellow wrench on the dash board and the rotary gear shift selector was blocked on Park.

I was unable to select the towing menu that was greyed.

As the car is a permanent AWD it was impossible to tow it without damaging the transmission. Hopefully after 15 minutes of re-starting tentative the error when away. But using an ODB there was a recorded error P0929 in the Gear Shift Module.

It took 1 week for the Ford dealer to take time to diagnose and repair the car. My car is 4 1/2 years hold and has 33,705 miles. Ford Extended Plan Warranty refused to reimburse the repair cost and the rental car cost. It is a shame as such a transmission failure at low mileage should be covered with the warranty. This car is my second and last Ford: this company is letting its customers down.
