Fusion SE Eco Boost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 42,412 miles

Had oil change today at Ford Dealership. 42,412 mileage. They are telling us that all lug nuts need to be replaced due to sweating. I hear there has already been a lawsuit filed due to this problem. It was a Manufacturing problem, but they won't fix. Not fair to us purchasers who bought these cars. I will never get another Ford. It was a good car until this. Very expensive fix. We can't afford this mess. They should be responsible.

Fusion SE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

With all of the information that has been reported about this issue and having had all maintenance done by a FORD dealership and service center (GARBER FORD), I can't believe that a 3 year old car with less than 50,000 on it from a SUNSHINE state would require lug nuts to be replaced at the owners cost. How is this not a recall?? Is it dangerous? YES!!

Come on, Ford! Get your crap together and stand up for your mistakes!!

Fusion ES 2.5L 4-cyl Dohc(Mfi)

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

This has happened x3 times. My husband needed to call for tow, and tow driver was unable to get lug nuts off, for a damaged tire. The dealer has told us twice that they had difficulty getting the lug nuts off and wanted to replace them. I said no, should be a recall if this is a problem!! Something about swollen lug nuts because of copper tops, ridiculous. Ford needs to recall, dealer stated no safety risk.
