The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed and went all the way to the floorboard and the vehicle failed to respond. The contact pumped the brake but the failure persisted. The contact shifted from drive(D) to low gear. There were several warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to drive to his residence in low gear. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000. The VIN was not available.

The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. An independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and stated that the vehicle was experiencing the failure listed in NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and referred the contact to the dealer. The dealer was contacted and refused to inspect the vehicle. The dealer stated that the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 148,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH, the brake pedal depressed to the floorboard as extra travel time was needed to stop the vehicle. The check brakes warning message appeared on the instrument panel during the failure. As the contact attempted to pull over to the side road, extra steering effort was needed to steer the vehicle. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to a dealer where they informed him that the ABS module needed to be replaced; however, the part was on backorder. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the parts were on backorder. The contact was also notified that there were no recalls on the vehicle and was then referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.
