The transmission felt like it was slipping and just felt off suddenly. Took it to the dealer and they said the CVT was failing. If this had happened after the warranty was up it would have been very expensive to fix. This is much too fast for a transmission to fail.

While I'm driving about 40 mph the transmission seems to go out of "gear," the car loses power and the engine races. I let up on the gas and eventually it re-engages and is OK. This has happened about three times.
