This thing was so simple to fix it almost hurt. Press the sides of the glove box and flip it down to get to the top screw of the resistor. Close it for the bottom screw (metric of course). Then pop of the bezel for the radio/HVAC control. Loosen the screws for the control panel; when you pull it out favor the left side so as to not pull the vacuum hoses for the right side; finagle a small socket to get the screw out that holds the fan control in place after you pop off the button. Swap the switch and splice the wires of the new harness if it has been fried too. Otherwise, I would leave it. Put it all back together after you reconnect the battery and try it out. That's what I did, or you may pay someone to do it, I wouldn't, but that's me. Enjoy.

This resolved my problem of no fan control.
