problem #4

Ranger 4WD

Front brake rotors corrosion, inboard side rough, pitted. Also outboard sides corroded. Dealer serviced brakes at 15000 miles, stated calipers not floating in caliper supports. Supposedly freed caliper. Condition returned at 20000 miles. Brakes have been locking up over night, vehicle wont roll in morning untill brakes release with loud noise. Brake action seems bifferent at times, sometimes brakes seem "touchy" other times brake effort seems excessive as if booster not operating properly. Poor brake response, takes longer to stop. Brake pads do not seem to be contacting rotors evenly across rotor swept area. Outer edge of rotors rusty, inner areas shiny. Inboard side of rotors very rough & pitted. Vehicle driven daily & garaged inside most nights.
