The contact owns a 2003 Ford Ranger. While driving approximately 5 mph the consumer's son depressed the brake pedal and his foot unintentionally depressed the accelerator pedal due to the close proximity of both pedals. The driver crashed into a fence. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000.
