Ranger 2.3L 4 cyl

  • Manual transmission
  • 96,150 miles

horn honks, wipers run, washers squirt when park lights turn on

Had to drive truck in rain, first had to disconnect horn because it blows when parking lights are turned on. Wipers also run at high speed but what the heck, it is raining but the washers are also squirting but stop after about 20 seconds. The wipers stop running at high speed when the washers stop and start running at selected intermittent speed for about 5 minutes, then go back to high speed and the washers begin again for another 20 seconds, and so on, as long as you are driving or have lights on. Hope it is still acting the fool when I get to the dealership this time.

When parking lights are turned on the horn begins to honk, the wipers start at high speed and the washers start squirting on windshield. Took the truck to dealership and all they could find was horn needed a new connector. Of course everything else behaved itself while at the dealership. Took truck home and drove it for a few days and it all starts over again. Going back to dealership and hope everything is still acting up when I get there.
