There is a security switch on both door locks. I had to replace the one on the drivers side. Cost was $30 from a parts store. Takes about 1 hour of labor to accomplish.

Procedure:

Remove driver side door panel. Remove air barrier. Remove screws that hold door latch to door. Have small hands and skinny arms too. Reach in and gently manipulate the latch mechanism to reveal and disconnect the switch.

Take the switch WITH YOU to get a new one. Apparently there are several and different.

Get new switch and reverse the above.

Bad switch will not allow dome light to come on and is tied into the PATS security system.

While latch assembly is accessible, lubricate it with a good water proof grease (lubriplate, silicone grease, most anything) so the latch does not wear down the switch tip as fast.
