Taurus SE 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

The car was shutting itself off periodically when I came to a stop, or would not start without repeated attempts. Eventually I had to have it towed from my workplace to a mechanics shop when it would not start at all. The voltage testing I did throughout the engine compartment will show appropriate levels at the battery terminals but a sharp drop off between the battery and where the cables connect. The positive battery cable, OE, cost 120 to replace.

Taurus Ses Sports V6

  • Automatic transmission

Husband went to get a book on this stupid car. the book doesn't cover my car cause its a sports version. It drove fine March to Jan 5,2012. Friday morning woke up started the same way. And you can hear that there is something wrong. It shakes, has power, wont even go up the hill. Hit the gas rpm will go to 4-5-6 and im lucky if im going 35. If i have stop you can hear that it wants to stall. No one that my husband has talk to can help him find out what the problem is.
