2003 FORD TAURUS, SE. Multiple issues with this FORD LEMON. GUARANTEED 200.00 CASH EVERY MONTH. LETTER DATED 6/4/13 TO THE PHILANTHROPIST, WILLIAM CLAY FORD. GUESS MR. FORD IS NOT GENEROUS WITH CUSTOMERS WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LEMON PRODUCED AND DESIGNED, (FAULTY) BY THE TEAM IN DEARBORN, MI. AS I BROWSED WEBSITES LISTING CONSUMER COMPLAINTS, I HAVE ALL OF THE ABOVE: ELECTRICAL, SUSPENSION, TRANSMISSION, AND OF COURSE WINDSHIELD. IN THE WINTER, I HAVE MORE ICE ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD AS OPPOSED TO THE OUTSIDE. WINDSHIELD REPLACED TO NO AVAIL. WHY? THE REPAIR SHOP POINTED OUT THIS MAJOR FAULT: THE BLACK "MOLDING" SURROUNDING WINDSHIELD IS NO BETTER THAN TUPPERWARE(MY APOLIGIES TO THE TUPPERWARE NAME); CONSEQENTLY, AIR SEEPING INTO THE CAR. TRANSMISSION: PAUSE, GO, PAUSE, GO. EVERYTIME THE GAS PEDAL IS PUSHED, THE TRANSMISSION IS HAVING PROBLEM WITH SHIFTING.(I AM AWAITING THE SHUTDOWN OF THE TRANNY AND THE SUBSEQUENT TOWING JOB.) SUSPENSION: THE PITS. HAVE HAD STRUTS REPLACED FRONT AND REAR, BALL JOINTS, AND I STILL FEEL I AM RIDING AN OLD WOODEN ROLLERCOASTER, COURTESY OF FORD MOTOR. OIL CHANGES? HOW ABOUT CORRODED STARTERS?(HAVE HAD 4 STARTERS REPLACED)WHY? MAJOR FAULTY DESIGN MAKING IT DIFFICULT FOR THE AVERAGE MECHANIC TO PERFORM A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE. OIL LEAKING ONTO STARTER. SURE, THE COMPETENT MECHANICS WHO CHOOSE TO TAKE THE TIME TO COVER STARTER AND TWIST AND TURN TO CHANGE FILTER MAY SUCCEED; HOWEVER, I AM CHARGED AN EXTRA "FEE" FOR THEIR INCONVENIENCE. ALTERNATOR BLEW AT 49,000 MILES, FUSE FOR WINDOWS AT 49,500. I AM ON MY THIRD ALTERNATOR FOR THIS LEMON. MY OLD CHEVY CAPRICE NEVER HAD ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS, AND MY TRANSMISSION WAS MY FIRST MAJOR REPAIR AT 100,200 MILES. SO, WILLIAM CLAY FORD, EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF FORD, HOW ABOUT DIRECTING YOUR WELL-PUBLICIZED PHILANTHROPIC ENDEAVORS TO YOUR FORD 2003 FORD TAURUS CUSTOMERS. HELLO HONDA IN 2014.

Update from Jul 21, 2013: JULY 2013

No response from Ford Motor despite certified letter directed to William Clay Ford, dated June 4, 2013; despite the Ford Customer Service declaring that Ford trolls approximately 60 websites, on a daily basis, reading reviews about Ford automobiles. One can assume that CAR COMPLAINTS.COM is not on the Ford Motor List of websites to review and respond. My multiple issues(suspension, electrical, windshield, transmission) has been resolved. I PURCHASED A CHEVY CRUZE.

Engine a little rough when first turned on, but temps outside frigid - so ignored it. A week later, engine light came on. Friend said probably a sensor, no rush. Three days later, car idled excessively fast, couldnt drive it. Took to service station, was told 4 codes-needed idle air control valve, several sparkplugs misfiring, need fuel filter, need emission flush (?not sure on that one), and a gasket in the idle intake (I think). Total over $800.00. I didnt have it. I asked about the idle valve, said $250 to fix that - car would still run rough and miss, etc. I did that. Two days later, engine light came on. Said power steering pressure sensor (or something like that). Engine still idles too high on occasion, but not dangerously so. I just don't know how I'm gonna get it fixed. I'm out of work, have no savings. I've been driving it for 9 years - but obviously I don't know how to take care of cars; never have. Brotherinlaw said he'll do the plugs and wires for me - but when, I don't know. Right now I am only getting about 10 mph where before this happened I was getting 17. Suggestions???

The day I purchased this vehicle I started having problems with the dash lights going out slowly. By evening when I was leaving work there were no dash lights. The next day on the way to work (the first Job) the dome light wouldn't shut off. When I get to my nighttime job the alarm goes off and on several times after I've locked it and went inside to work, same with the dome light. After several attempts at getting the alarm to stop I finally had to not lock it and go back inside to continue working. After rushing through my job I left early to take the car back to the dealership and made it there a half hour before they closed. On the way there the door locks started clicking off and on while the dome light kept going off and on too intermittently. I was told to bring it back in at 1:00 in the afternoon the next day, I did and four hours later supposedly it was fixed. The problem, I was told was that the passenger front door lock was bad and needed to be replaced and that caused the other problems. Well, now it's less than two weeks later and the car won't even start. Too be continued on a new complaint.
