i had gotten the car and i had wanted to put an aftermarket radio in it other than that stupid cassete player. so i had payed over two hundred dollars between the radio and having it installed. after spending all the money to have it installed i found out that the car is not meant to have a different radio in it because it will disarm the airbags because the power to them goes through the stock radio.

I wanted to have a CD player installed because the car came with a cassette deck and 6 disk changer set up with no disk changer. I was informed not only by Best Buy ,Circuit City and a Ford dealership that I can't have a stereo installed because of a manufacturing defect that wasn't corrected until half way through the manufacturing cycle. The passenger airbag control module is located at a place in the dash that will be disrupted if anyone attempts to change the stereo. Meaning that if I get a stereo installed it will set off my airbag and I will have to pay to get the safety feature replaced. Then when you try to buy a 6 disk changer you find out that no companies want to make them so if you want to listen to CD's you have to find a junk yard car and hope it has a disk changer- I hate Ford.
