The contact owns a 2010 Ford Taurus. While driving approximately 60 mph with the cruise control activated, a deer jumped in front of the vehicle. The contact swerved to avoid the deer. The contact continued to drive the vehicle and the stability traction control warning indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the cruise control did not disengage when attempting to turn it off. The dealer (sakelaris Ford Lincoln of rolla, 625 w 7th St, rolla, mo 65401, (573) 364-1211) was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 112,000.
