There is a recall on this issue that I'm having when I went to Ford they said there is no recall but I see a recall online for same issue the problem never got taking care of so I wanted to get it taking care of. Check engine light on I had it looked at the recall is same issue showing on my check engine light. Why is Ford saying there is no recall when I see that it clearly shows recall and no work had been done to my vehicle to fix this issue?

I was driving the car in December 2017 on the highway. I turned on the heated seat for the driver's side of the car. The heater heated up until it was burning my buttocks (it felt like a bee-sting). I turned the seat off and it stopped burning. This has happened every time I have attempted to turn the heated seat on since that time regardless of the car being in motion or in park. Occasionally, I smell an odor that smells like wires burning. I took the car to the dealership and was told that the heater in the bottom and back of the driver's seat needs to be replaced; however, it is not covered as a safety concern (because a recall has not been issued for the seat heaters) nor is it covered under the extended warranty that was purchased with the automobile.
