problem #2

(reported on)

Thunderbird LX 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 99,000 miles

This happened to me again at 143,000 miles, I put some of that stop leak stuff to cover up most of the severe problems so I could sell it. Except for the cooling system problems, this was one of the best cars I have owned.

Thunderbird

I'M DRIVING AND I SMELL ANTI-FREEZE. I LOOK UNDER THE HOOD AND SOMETHING IS LEAKING AND HISSING BY THE ENGINE. IT IS ALSO RUNS HOT. I DON'T SEE ANY LEAKS UNDER THE CAR BUT SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY LEAKING BY THE ENGINE AND THE RADIATOR.
