problem #1

Mar 072007

(reported on)

Thunderbird LX 4.6L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

Shutters at speeds from 40-70. I've done some research on this and found out that ford got a bad batch of transmissions from like 94-95 model years and and the transmissions are notorious for shuttering. The fix from what i found out was to have the transmission and torque converter flushed and replaced with mercon transmission fluid.
