Windstar GL 3.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

I have had this fixed twice already. I am doubtful I'm going to fix it again. The van is not worth that much money! The book value is less than $2,000.

Windstar V6

  • Automatic transmission

At this point I am getting 11 mpg. There is a hesitation even when idling.

Had a diagnostic done and was told $700 to clean out the carbon buildup.

UGH. hoping to hear about a better cheaper solution.

The 1996 Windstar has the check engine light on. The Windstar acts like its not getting enough gas after it warms up...computer says injector # 3 is bad. Do I replace all of the injectors? Ive had the injectors cleaned. One has been replaced and problem occurred all over again.

Windstar GL 3.0 V6

  • Automatic transmission

When you are sitting at a light or idling it misfires and seems like it wants to stall. and it does. It also hesitates and sputters too. what can i do take it to a dealer or do a recall on it. i want them to fix it if it is their problem (ford). the van drives good, but for that problem i can't even drive out of town because i'm afraid i'll be sitting on the side of the road. Can anybody give me some type of solution?

Why, after all the efforts at fixing it, does the mechanic always say, "Well, the first thing we do know is...." Like, I had never been there before and forked over my money for his feeble try!AAAAgh!
