I have a 2001 Ford Windstar SE. All at once my ABS and brake light came on. A week later the speedometer stopped working. Now the speedometer works for a fee days then quits. I took it to midas and they told me to take it to a dealer. They said there are no recalls.

The vehicle was taken to his local mechanic; however, they found the part needed to make the repair could only be ordered by an authorized Ford dealer. No repairs were made to date. The failure and current mileages were unknown.

The contact owns a 2001 Ford Windstar. While driving between 20 and 70 mph, the ABS and brake lights illuminated simultaneously on the instrument panel. The failure has been occurring only in warm weather. The indicators remained illuminated until the vehicle was shut off. The contact stated that the brakes were operating normally. On one occasion, the contact smelled an unrecognizable odor. The current mileage was 81,209 and failure mileage was 80,650.
