problem #3

Feb 202007

Windstar SE 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,000 miles

Bought vehicle from Ford dealer as used. Less than one month later van dash lights would come on and off periodically. Entire instrument cluster replaced. Over the year some lights would illuminate with no reason such as ABS, traction control, oil, and such with no ability to trace even by trained Ford mechanics. At time, entire instrument clusters would go haywire with speedometer and tachometer going back and forth through full range...haunted!

Windstar LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Dash lights go on and off by themselves. If at low speed, van will stall. If at speeds over 35ish, feels like I'm hitting the brakes.
