Windstar 6-cyl

  • miles
We own a 2002 Ford Windstar with adjustable height for the brake/accelerator pedals. Unfortunately the adjustment button is on the center console right where my right knee rests. The design allows for adjustments while the vehicle is in motion. On too many occasions my knee has hit the button while in motion causing the vehicle to accelorate or deccelerate unexpectedly. As of now no accidents have resulted, however, one can easily see the safety concern. I contacted Ford and they refuse to disable the feature because that was the original design of the vehicle although in my mind it was a faulty design to have the pedals adjust while in motion.
