Acadia SLT1 V6

Completed all recalls by dealer. All service and repair work done by dealer since purchased.

7/14/2019 first time power steering failed. After driving on highway for 1 hour, power steering failed. Had to cancel appointment and return home. Checked power steering fluid and it was at max so no leak. 5 hours later after being parked in driveway, I started engine and power steering appeared to be ok.

Not going to take any chances and will send it to GMC dealer that has serviced it for almost 10 years. REF: special coverage adjustment #14329 REF: GM service bulletin P10029F

Does it need a new: [a] power steering pump? [b] steering gear valve housing? [c] variable effort steering gear solenoid? [d] change red PS fluid to Dextron VI ? [e] larger hose ?
