The contact owns a 2010 GMC Acadia. While making a left turn at 20 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to turn without warning. The contact pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and the steering returned to normal. The failure occurred on six different occasions. An independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle as having low power steering output pressure and stated that the power steering pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the failure was remedied. The failure mileage was 68,000. Updated 09/05/14 the vehicle was repaired. Updated 12/17/2014
