problem #1

Acadia Denali 3.6L V6

04/27/17, we had the alternator go bad on a road trip. Replaced the alternator and battery. Onward to 04/01/18, service battery system came up again. Got it checked, clutch went out on alternator. Ok fine. We assumed the alternator we purchased was junk. Had the alternator on now for a few weeks and what do you know? Service battery system came up again last night. Made it home, shut it down for 20 mins, went back out and it was gone.

Took to mechanic and he said the alternator and bcm etc is all functioning normally. Between this never ending problem so far, and the PCV VALVE issues, along with a few other minor things, the Acadia is not worth purchasing. I currently have a "ghost" problem and haven't a clue where to start. Car is still under power terrain warranty via GMC but it's not covered under it. They are zero help and neither are their dealerships. Big expensive paperweight is what the Acadia is. Only thing it does have going for it is its looks and luxury when the luxuries want to work. At 60k miles and 30 days of owning the dvd/CD drive also went out. 1600 dollar brand new and 800 to fix. Dealership nor GMC could have cared less. I can't wait until I'm out from under this loan. It will be the first and last GMC product I ever own.
