Canyon 4WD 5-cyl

When driving, the vehicle would automatically kick into 4-wheel drive when making a turn in either direction. The vehicle has been doing this for about 6 months. There is no warning. When it kicks in 4-wheel drive, it stops like the brake is on. The consumer was almost involved in several accidents. The vehicle is regularly serviced. There are no other problems with the vehicle.
