Reduced power light came on the dashboard and I had no power. This has happened 4 times since July 2013. It has happened 2 times in April and now again. It is going back to the garage on tues. Getting ridiculous and expensive! when it is put on the scope it keeps coming up with the throttle position sensor fault.

GMC admits that there is a major problem with the 5 cylinder motor. They know that there is documented evidence with the cylinder head leaking air, causing trouble with idle, and truck speeds, but they refuse to produce a recall even after allthe money that is dished out for this truck. The truck will go died at stop signs and is in constant misfire state while driving down the interstate, not to mention the gas mileage that is wasted because of this issue.!!! my VIN number is [xxx]. truck has 142000 miles now and is constantly going dead when the wheels are turned hard, or just sitting at stop signs or red lights.!!! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The contact owns a 2004 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that the vehicle was sitting parked with the engine shut off when it erupted into flames. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire and advised the fire originated from under the glove compartment. The vehicle was not examined for the cause of failure. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were unknown.

My truck is failing to start at intermittent times. Have checked the starter and alternator but the lights work and the battery checks out fine. After about 15 minutes the truck will start and run normally. I had the fuel pump changed as I was told this was the problem but the problem persisted. I changed the fuel pump again thinking I received a defective fuel pump but I am still having the same starting issues. I have reset the computer in the truck hoping this would help but it has not. This starting issue occurs about every day and usually when I need the truck the most (I.e. to and from work) please help with any suggestions or solutions you may have!
