On June 26,2010, I had a flat tire. I own a 2002 GMC Envoy. Luckily I was at home when I noticed I had a flat tire on the passenger side rear. I've changed flats before so I figured ok, I might as well get started. To my horror I discovered the hoist on the underside of the vehicle would not lower the spare tire. I could not believe this was happening. After trying for several hours underneath the vehicle I gave up. So my wife said call roadside assistance to help. I called them and they came to my home to assist. I had the vehicle jacked up and supported so the driver of the towtruck would take a look. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do either. This is now total frustration. After several hours of deliberation, I decided to go on the internet to find a fix for this problem. Luckily, I found a forum of owners who had the same type of vehicle and who had experienced the same problems I had. Their suggestion worked for me, however, the real problem still exists with hoist on the vehicle. In my opinion, this is a very severe problem whick requires a recall. GM made a huge gaffe with this one.

I was travelling at approximately 35mph and as I was heading toward a signal light when a van turned left in the opposite direction of travel. My vehicle's front end struck the van's passenger side door. Air bags did not deploy upon impact although van's both frontal air bags did deploy.my face hit the steering wheel and knees hit the bottom of the dashboard. Passenger was also bruised on knees

When the vehicle is on for an extended about of time (more than one hour) the surface of the radio gets extremely hot and has burnt my fingers. I confronted the dealership and they simply said to turn down the interior lighting (which was an insult). By surface I do not mean the buttons, but the surface around the buttons which is easily accessible. Numerous times I have reached down to adjust the radio and, while keeping my eyes on the road, touched the surface of the radio next to the buttons. This then made me jump at which time I easily could have lost control of the vehicle. This happens every time I drive the vehicle, this is why the number of failures is 800.
