At this point I have owned my 2005 Envoy for 18 months and it has been towed more than the car I owned for 8 years that I got rid of to get this NEW car. I drive up a pretty steep hill to get to work everyday. Well I notice a few times that the car smells kind of disgusting when I go up the hill sort of like I ran some road kill over OR maybe someone cracked open some rotten eggs next to me. Lovely huh. So every time I put a LITTLE extra load on the cars engine, it decides to do this. Well, then one day I see a light come on panel that I have never seen before. It's an engine with a down arrow through it. Hum, what is this? So at the next light I grab my little owners manual and come to find that it means reduce power. Interesting. So I take it to the dealer and by this point when I walk in they all yell my name as if I was Norm at Cheers. So they keep it and look at it and they call me to tell me I am leaking water.?? (this is where I will type when the report from the dealership says) Water intrusion on ignition coil. Replaces Ignition coil # 4 5 6 cylinders. Failed electronic ignition control. Ok, whatever that means. As long as they replaced it, I am happy. BUT I am starting to get a little TICKED that I am getting my nice new SUV towed SOOOO many times. But time goes by and nothing go wrong until.... (now read yet another problem I had. Maybe related)
