Fuel pump outlet tube was found corroded through after informing the local GMC dealer of gasoline odors when getting out of vehicle. This vehicle was purchased new in brandon, Florida and has always remained in Florida.

Envoy XL

2003 GMC Envoy XL. The gas tank cracked where the hose was connected to the gas tank. Took vehicle to mechanic after the check engine light came on and they said not to fill up more than half way. The fumes could cause an explosion. Dealer had to order the tank. Called manufacturer and they said there was no recall. This vehicle has not been in any accidents to cause this problem.
